Prevalence and factors associated with frailty among elderly in central Rajasthan: A cross-sectional study

BackgroundFrailty increases the risk of disability, falls, cognitive decline, hospitalisation, dependency, and mortality in older adults. The study aimed to find out prevalence associated factors frailty among elderly using Field's physical constructs frailty.MethodsIt was a hospital-based cross-sectional study, conducted tertiary care hospital central Rajasthan, from May 2022 October 2022. Data were collected 288 participants. Categorical data presented as proportion, continuous mean (SD). Chi-square test multivariate logistic regression used association between other variables.ResultsAbout one-third (32.3%) participants frail, 32.3% pre-frail, 35.4% robust.
